The wind and 40 degree temps have eroded the field. While we could pull something off and snow is forecast before the event, the decision was made to push back to the alternate date, Sunday, Feb. 25th. We are open and the weekend will have good skiing.

Got more snow
Couple more last night and a few more coming overnight. Our forecast…an inch here and another there …but the skiing today was very good and it look like this trend will continue.
6-8 inches fell overnight.
Just spoke to the guys who have been out rolling all day. This was a very light snow and it is cold so very hard to pack. We are rolling with the back pans up so the groves that the roller leave fill with drifting snow. This recapture system works well in the fields. North… Continue reading 6-8 inches fell overnight.

Still white in the woods so we will retain much of the woods base through today. The rental shop is closed. Forecast is 1… Continue reading Sunday, January 28th
Pictures from this Morning…
We are skiing today.
Our season pass regulars were out yesterday and today with “pretty good”skiing. The woods base is firm with a few inches of fresh snow. The field is open but just. Tomorrow is a warm up and after is a “we’ll see” in small print. Be hopeful, Winter is not over!
We have a few inches of fresh snow over the base in the woods.
This means miles of snow covered trails with a few sketchy pieces between. Tomorrow will be better than Friday.

Great Day at Wilderness Lodge. More than 120 skiers and about 50 snowshoers gathered to negotiate the trails, laugh, meet old friends and reconnect within this wellness event sponsored by the Erie YMCA. Trails were snow packed and the warm afternoon was not ideal, but the event organizers and the participants were happy. Since then,… Continue reading We had the Quad Ski Race and then warming..but still snow in the woods
