The sun was out but it never felt warm. The snowpack held and the top surface was granular not slush. The skating was a bit slow in the open fields but not dragging or with long deep cuts. The tracks still solid. Just to let you know, we had a number of people stop in… Continue reading Today we had showers, not rain. This afternoon was beautiful.

Saturday February 27th. The “R” word.
A warm, wet morning followed by an afternoon in the 40’s is not a good opening line for mystery novel. Nor is it the best report form a ski resort. Fortunately, we are optimistic because we have a deep, packed base on the trails and will hold the snow. Wildcats, our youth program, will be… Continue reading Saturday February 27th. The “R” word.

Much will depends on temperature and amount of rain. We believe Saturday afternoon will be viable. We will reserve judgement on Sunday until the weather pattern firms up. Saturday-another special day.
Overnight, we received about two inches of new snow and will be out grooming again. Considering the prediction of up to 9 inches, we are happy with this event. This week, we had several ‘start over’ days with considerable snow and a patch of rain. The base is deeper, more level and will last well… Continue reading Saturday-another special day.
February 16th-17th.
Overnight Monday into Tuesday morning we received a couple inches of snow, followed by rain, followed by more snow. We have been out grooming and all the areas touched earlier will be in good shape…..the ice has been ground up and mixed with fresh snow. This is followed by a BUT, it continues to snow,… Continue reading February 16th-17th.
Happy Valentine’s Day

There are presently two kissing trees, one on each side. Today if you find one, take a picture and post it on Facebook, we will… Continue reading Happy Valentine’s Day
