We had light snow flurries all day and they are still falling as I write. The storm went south so at least we did not get more rain. Currently, we are under a winter storm watch with snow predicted. The base is here and we need some fresh snow to soften it up… So closed today. We will repost later this afternoon.

The good news is we still have snow. Along the road at the bottom of the hill below the lodge, it is bare. In the past, we have had people driving form Pittsburgh without seeing a snowflake. The trails, restaurant, rentals all open this Monday. We had a spectacular weekend..so why stop now? Come SKI!

Normally, I offer more information…I.e. the trails are great…tracks are set, wide skate lanes, restaurant open…etc. …which is , naturally all true today.. I wanted to share that the torch ski in our woods last night was pure magic… We will do it again next year.

This afternoon, things are to settle down so the torch ski will be tonight. Starting before dusk, (6 pm) we will be lighting the trails. The woods are going to be beautiful. The groomers are out working. The fire is the Lodge is burning and the restaurant staff are busy in the kitchen. Come Ski!
