Yesterday, it rained then turn to snow and we had 6+ by dusk. The lodge side set up well and we got the peak trail started…long way to go.
Overnight, another 4-6 inches fell with drifting in some areas, so we start over with three sleds out.
We ask you to wait till early afternoon. Once we pack, it will settle and make a better base if undisturbed.
There may have a fourth sled breaking open the East Side…
Just to add some color… we had about 2+ inches of rain before it turned to snow which means our guys were challenged to select the best tactics to manage this diverse mix of conditions. Fortunately, as the weather pattern intensified, the snow became more moist and more easily packed. By late afternoon, we had regained the base on the trails closest to the Lodge.
