First…A belated Merry Christmas to one and all. And a Happy New Year!
That being offered with all sincerity, it is still a test for a small business to be completely closed during the period which represents a good portion of the seasonal income.
We are getting many calls from interested people to check on our ski conditions. Like us, they and you are equally interested in getting out and enjoying our cross country ski trails. December will be a bust.
It seems to be happening more regularly. When I was a kid living on the same hill, I can remember the occasional Thanksgiving storm that closed the roads. The hunters didn’t seem to worry about good tracking snow for the December deer season which immediately followed. Driving home, after a game down at school in Wattsburg, meant squinting thru the snowflakes on the windshield of my little Mini while getting a run to climb the hills to get home. P.S. also had to walk 4 miles uphill both ways…..
I digress…but you get the point.
We ask for this. After the snow comes and we get busy to create the great groomed trails you are waiting for, please come often and bring your friends. They will appreciate it and so will we.
